There Will Be No 25 Year Reunion

Like many things in life it boiled down to the root of all evils.... money. With less than 40 people showing interest in attending and we needed at least 100 to come close to breaking even, the reunion committee was faced with no other alternative other than to call off the reunion after a second date. Sorry but we tried. There will be no 25 Year Class of 1982 Reunion.

On a personal note:
I can't speak for everyone on the reunion committee but it would be pretty fair to say all of us are quite disappointed. The few dedicated people who worked hard on the last reunion put a lot of effort in planning this 25 Year Reunion. Maybe we planned too big? Maybe we picked the wrong dates? Maybe all of us are going through a stage in life where it's just difficult to break away for a night?

Will there be a 30 Year Reunion? Who knows at this point. All of us pitched in not only our time but money for deposits, mailings, web page hosting, etc with the hopes of recovering these expenses after the reunion was held. There is one bill that stands out more than the others, besides a bad check that wrote to us at the 20 Year Reunion by a class of 82 member, and that is the $500 deposit that was lost to the BWI Hilton which Theresa personally wrote the check for to cover us. She will probably kill me after she reads this but I know if it wasn't for her there would not of been a 20 Year Reunion. Theresa and Adrienne are the heart and soul of the reunion committee and we are damn lucky to have them. I can only hope in four years they have the stomach to go through this again. If they don't I wouldn't blame them.

As far as the webpage goes, I will keep it going. It pretty much handles it self and the cost is reasonable. Hopefully it keeps us connected to a degree and that personally makes it worth doing.
